This website will bring you regular updates about organising of the 2010 FAI World Gliding Championship, that will take place at the Prievidza airport in Prievidza, Slovakia. We will inform you about preparations and current invitations to training sessions throughout the years 2008 - 2009. A championship pre-race will take place in 2009. Preliminary entries closed

The Preliminary entries for 31 FAI WGC 2010 Prievidza was closed at midnight (LT) on February 25, 2010.

There is entered total of 116 pilots from 28 countries. In club class there will be 51 pilots from 26 countries, in standard class 49 pilots from 24 countries and in the world class 16 pilots from 9 countries of the world.

Press release: Before 31st FAI WGC with Jozef Šnirc

The 31st FAI World Gliding Championship 2010, taking place between July 3rdand 18th in Prievidza ,will be the most significant sport event in Slovakia this year. In the interview for AeroHobby journal we asked the championship’s director, Jozef Šnirc, how the preparations for 31st FAI WGC World Gliding Championship are going. The preparations began last year and were officially announced on July 2, 2009. So, what is the state of the preparations now?
